The difference between cleaning, disinfecting and sanitizing

Cleaning removes germs and dirt from surfaces. You can use soap and water to clean surfaces. This doesn't always kill germs, but removing them lowers their numbers. It's suggested to clean surfaces before you disinfect them.
Disinfecting kills germs on surfaces. Disinfectant chemicals are stronger than soap but do not necessarily clean visibly dirty surfaces or remove germs. Killing germs lowers the risk of infection. To properly disinfect, products need to remain on a surface for a specific amount of time -- usually 3 to 5 minutes.
Sanitizing also kills germs, but disinfecting kill more of them. Some products are capable of doing both, but disinfecting requires a bit more work. Still, sanitizers effectively lower the risk of infection.
Lemon Quat Neutral Disinfectant Cleaner is a very effective, non-phosphate neutral pH disinfectant, cleaner, deodorizer, virucide, mildewcide, and fungicide. Jae'Kae' Co. Injection Mould Cleaner
The optimal surfactant blend coupled with citric acid makes Jae'Kae' Injection Mould Cleaner the finest solution for cleaning the non-ferrous metal parts used with injection molds.
Created specially for the plastics industry, this product cleans without causing any abrasion or surface etching. You can use the Injection Mold Cleaner either as the cleaning solution in your hydrosonic tanks or as a spray-on application. It also works exceptionally well in descaling cooling systems.
When using Injection Mold Cleaner as a hydrosolic tank solution, we recommend diluting 1 part of the cleaner to 50 parts water. The spray-on-and-wipe-off application has a recommended dilution of 1 part cleaner to 10 parts water. For descaling mold cooling systems, use 1 part cleaner to 5 parts water.
